GTI Solutions Announces Relocation & Expansion of Production Facility.

Seoul, South Korea (Dec. 24, 2018)

GTI Solutions announced it has moved its Korean manufacturing to its new, state-of-the-art production facility in Wonju, South Korea.  The expansion was fueled by GTI Solutions’ rapid growth, necessitating larger manufacturing space and more streamlined production flow due to ongoing investments in equipment, expanding from approximately ~7,000 square meter to 10,000+ square meter at the new location.

“This is an exciting time for GTI Solutions and marks a huge milestone for the company, our employees and customers who will all benefit from the opportunities this expansion presents. The larger, modern facility will allow us to continue delivering highly innovative products and quality service to our customers and provide an improved work environment to our employees” said GTI Solutions global execution leader Carlo Perugini.  “We are extremely proud to move into our new building. The newly constructed facility will accommodate leading-edge manufacturing technologies, lean equipment layout with automated flow, resulting in increased efficiency and lean manufacturing environment for current and future employees. The new facility will also provide opportunities for company expansion into additional products and services” says Charles Cho, President of GTI Solutions Korea.

GTI Solutions Awarded Two Contracts to Improve Run-lengths and Gas-oil Cut-points.

(Feb. 15, 2016)

GTI Solutions has been awarded engineering design and equipment supply contracts to improve operation run-lengths on two of JX Nippon Oil & Energy (JX) refineries in Japan.

The contract, awarded by JX, is part of an investment to refineries’ energy savings and quality of the gas oil produced enabling JX to achieve more profit per barrel of crude processed.  GTI Solutions won the contract by demonstrating its application know-how via troubleshooting of existing operational issues and will execute the engineering and fabrication in Japan and Korea.  The scope of work is aimed at extending the run-lengths at deep-cut operating modes for various crude-slates cases and to minimize the metal content in the gas oil.

"We have successfully delivered a number of projects in Japan and in other countries, and look forward to continuing our partnership with JX oil refineries," said Takashi Maruyama, President of GTI Solutions Japan.

GTI Solutions Awarded Contract to Improve Gas-oil quality, Yields and Cut-points.

Seoul, South Korea (Jan. 10, 2017)

GTI Solutions announced today that GS Caltex has selected GTI Solutions’ proprietary distillation and mass transfer equipment to debottleneck vacuum distillation unit at its refinery in Yeosu, South Korea. The contract is part of an investment to maximize middle distillate recovery, minimize vacuum residue, improve operation reliability and increase run-length.

The scope includes feasibility studies, equipment supplies, internal overflow pipes modification and installation work. The additional challenge for this project is the design of liquid distributors for 15.24-meter tower diameter (50’).

"This contract confirms GTIS’ strong reputation as one of the world's leaders in deep-cut vacuum tower revamp solution provider and demonstrates the trust that GS Caltex has placed in GTIS process design for this world-class facility," said Jaeman Cho, president of GTIS Korea. “We are very pleased to have been awarded this significant contract by GS-Caltex and we are looking forward to the opportunity to continue to contribute our expertise to GS-Caltex, including plant test runs in 3Q this year”

GTI Solutions Awarded Contract to Expand Hydrogen Peroxide Capacity

 (Nov. 20, 2015)

GTI Solutions was awarded a multi-million dollar contract to design, fabricate and install column internal components for the production of high purity hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).

Ultra high purity electronics-grade hydrogen peroxide is a key chemical in the production of semiconductors.  As the complexity of computer chips and the miniaturization of the circuits trend increases, the demand for ultra-pure hydrogen peroxide grows. Hydrogen peroxide has also increasingly been used in the manufacturing of LCD displays.

Material selection for constructing hydrogen peroxide equipment is an important factor in preventing corrosion over a wide range of temperatures and concentrations. While H2O2 is not considered highly corrosive, it can cause problems for many metals and alloys under certain operating conditions.  For these reasons, zirconium was selected as base material for this project.

GTI’s scope will include engineering, manufacturing, and installation of the critical towers. The unit is expected to start-up in 4Q, 2016.

Charles Cho, President of GTI Solutions Korea, said, “This project demonstrates our commitment to deliver long-lead items at the shortest possible schedule to help the client meet their performance objectives.”
